Abbie Cornish, born 7 August 1982 in the Australian state of Victoria she is a performer. Betty Gilpin chose to act since her parents supported and were proud of her. Fordham College, where Gilpin studied to perfect her art and craft, was the school she chose to attend. Gilpin started acting on Off Broadway productions following her graduation as well as seeking roles on film and television. Gilpin landed a small role on Ghost Town 2008 and The Northern Kingdom (2009). Also, she was a part of the NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent from 2001-2011. Gilpin stayed in TV with a role as guest on for the next several years. She got her first break as she landed a role as a recurring character on Nurse Jackie. Gilpin was the character Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin in 34 episodes until Nurse Jackie ended its run in June of 2015. That same year Gilpin appeared in mystery-thriller True Story (2015).
